Here’s the final Blastcorp release, Goodbye. It’s time for me let go of this Blastcorp project. Call it creative differences, I guess between me and myself… A decade is a long time. It’s been such a schizophrenic ride, from glitch noise to ambient calmness, from washing machine music to acoustic lovesongs. From my old Akai sampler and scratched CD’s, to the super-futuristic Monome, via guitar, harp and becoming brave enough to sing. I’ve played some crazy gigs, from Arnhem Land to Japan: on beaches, in loungerooms, sock shops, underground tunnels, garages, botanic gardens, cement bunkers, deluxe theatres and plenty of skanky pubs. Its made me so happy, so many times and I want to share all these songs rather than let them hide away on my hard drive.
This album is in four sections, it’s really more like four separate EP’s with 5 songs each.
1-5: Electronic Lovesongs
6-10: Dancefloor Action
11-15: Processed Ambience
16-20: Acoustic Sketches
I’ve never done a thank you list before, so now seems like a pretty fitting time. I used to think I just made music for myself, but it’s not true. I made this for you. Thanks for listening, I’m honored. Without everyone below I would have never been bothered.
